Meet Our Doctor

Nathan J. Adams, DDS

Dr. Nathan Adams (“Dr. Nathan:”) was born and grew up in the Placerville, CA area. After finishing high school at El Dorado Adventist School in Placerville, he attended college at Pacific Union College, located near Napa, CA, where he graduated with a bachelors of science in biology. He then moved to southern California and began dental school at Loma Linda University in 2006. Dr. Nathan graduated with his DDS degree in May of 2010, and began practicing general dentistry.

Dr. Nathan met his wife Lori while they were both students at Loma Linda University. They were married in December of 2009. A few months after Dr. Nathan completed dental school they moved to northern California, settling in El Dorado Hills in 2010. Dr. Nathan joined the dental practice of his father, Dr. John Adams, in Cameron Park. Dr. Nathan enjoyed the opportunity to practice dentistry with his father for 15 great years, until Dr. John retired at the end of 2025.

In 2024, Dr. Nathan and Lori moved to Placerville, where they now make their home. They are the proud parents of two energetic and active boys- Caleb, born in 2016, and Micah, born in 2018. Both boys attend El Dorado Adventist School, the same small Christian school in Placerville that Dr. Nathan went to when he was growing up. Lori enjoys volunteering at the boys’ school, as well as practicing physical therapy part-time at an outpatient rehab clinic in Placerville.

In his free time Dr. Nathan enjoys doing a variety of things. These include spending time with his family, traveling, and playing a variety of sports including softball, basketball, and golf. The family also loves many outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking, camping, and snow-skiing. They are actively involved in their church in Placerville with music and children’s activities.

Providing high quality and ethical dental care for his patients is something Dr. Nathan takes very seriously. He works hard to identify and meet each patient's unique dental needs and concerns, particularly placing a strong emphasis on preventative care to keep each patient's oral health at the highest possible level.
